Fire
Alarm Systems
Fire alarm systems are made of fire
detection equipment and fire
alarm control panels. Control panels consist of
conventional and the more sophisticated analog fire alarm
control panels.
• Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels
Fire detection equipment hooks up to a fire alarm control
panel. Fire alarm control panels set off an alarm and notify
the appropriate personnel and or a control center. Most conventional
fire alarm control panels also have freeze warning capabilities.
• Analog Fire Alarm Control Panels
Analog fire alarm control panels are similar to conventional
fire alarm control panels except they offer more features.
They often times support a larger number of detection devices
and monitors. Analog fire alarm control panels also allow for
automatic and manual sensitivity adjustments. Some analog fire
alarm control panels hook up to telephone or speaker systems.
